With 6 blank composition books, 5 sharpened pencils, a 3 ring binder whose rings still align and close, and a filing folio, I think it must be back to school...but wait! There's something in the distance! A glowing cloud...Zeus! What is he doing here? Who are all those people behind him? Niels Bohr, Thomas Jefferson, some dude in a toga, Bach, at least 5 other people, and JESUS? All with large heavy books in their hands...this can't be good. As much as I would love to discuss matters of philosophy with all these lovely folks...I'm running. But as I start running...they all start running too. I can't shake them! Eventually, I make it into my tank of a car and lock all the doors. Whew! That was definitely a close one. Hmm...something seems strange...I feel like at least 20 eyes are watching me. I look behind me. THEY'RE ALL THERE!!! Where do they come from!!!!!! Who did they all fit? My car's big but not a bus! I frantically dash from what I thought was my only means of safety only to forget to consider the considerable distance between the floor of my car and the ground. Falling flat on my face, I know I have no choice but to submit to the horde of academia that stalks me. Resistance is futile, and so I find myself crushed by a massive load of textbooks and other literature I am destined to read, analyze, discuss, practice....WELCOME TO JUNIOR YEAR.
Enough with dramatics though.
I have a pretty cool line up of classes:
1. AP Chemistry
2. AP American Literature
3. AP Art History
4. Honors Pre-Cal
5. AP Music Theory
6. AP American History
Cool...but a wee bit busy...fortunately I like the subjects.
Then there's parking.
Ah...yes, parking...
Consuming alignment of massive constructs of
plastic, metal, and upholstery
Yes...I am beginning to know it well.
Basically, I need to get to school at 7:00 to get my second choice parking spot and school starts at 7:45...which is precisely why authors started writing layman non-fiction books about quantum physics books. SO it's not to bad...actually not bad at all. Besides, Gunthor's (that would be the possessive form of my car's name, he's a white 1997 Ford Expedition) pretty spacious.
Hope school is going well (or will go well) for all you other students out there. Maybe I'll get to reformating the multi-media page and the about page this Labor Day.. :)
