Howdy everybody! I'm currently nestled up in our toy trailer (toy being in reference to big motor, gas-driven toys like dirt bikes - our main purpose for this vacation is to ride the things up and down the lengthy, fun trails they have here.) wardriving in Ouray, Colorado. We went on our second trail ride this week and I'm am SORE! I'm not sure exactly how far we went, but I think it's pretty safe to say we went over 30 miles. And while that might now seem like much to car driving folk, trust me, when most of those 30 miles are composed of highly sloped, slippery rock clad trails, you get a bit more worn and beat up than had you been in a cosy Jeep. In other words, today was awesome! I fell down a few times because I didn't give enough juice from the throttle to go up a few of these slippery slopes or just because I didn't take the smartest portion of the trail to ride. On the way back to town, my dad and I saw 4 deer (actually, I only saw 3 of them but those three included a mom and a baby and another doe) amid the colorful and thick wild flowers. The mountains are green and sometimes rusted and HUGE! As I'm sitting on my bed in the trailer, the sky is a-thundering and the clouds are a-pouring!
When we're not riding, I've been either beading, napping, or reading (3 cheers for the mighty Fountainhead! (hip hip hooray)^3 <--let's face it math folk are lazy typers ^_^).
Life's tough.Oh I almost forgot! We also saw a woodchuck while we were up there! Now, how much wood can that woodchuck chuck if that woodchuck can chuck wood?
I'll try and add some photos in a bit, but first some require some photoshopping!
Later cats!
